Die Nationale Anti Doping Agentur Deutschland (NADA) hat die Entscheidung des Präsidiums der Handball-Bundesliga (HBL) im Fall des Handballers Nikola Portner zur Kenntnis genommen und wird die Begründung der Entscheidung sorgfältig prüfen, bewerten und entscheidet nach Prüfung ob sie ein Rechtsmittel einlegt.
Das Präsidium der HBL teilte mit, dass es einstimmig entschieden hat, den Athleten freizusprechen und die am 11. April 2024 im Zuge einer positiven Dopingprobe erfolgte Suspendierung mit sofortiger Wirkung aufzuheben.

NADA reviews HBL decision in Portner case
The National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) has taken note of the decision of the Handball Bundesliga (HBL) Executive Committee in the case of handball player Nikola Portner and will carefully examine and evaluate the reasons for the decision and decide whether to lodge an appeal.
The HBL Executive Committee announced that it had unanimously decided to acquit the athlete and lift the suspension imposed on 11 April 2024 following a positive doping test with immediate effect.
