Prof. Hans Georg Näder, Managing Partner of the Otto Bock Group, has resigned from his position as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) after 13 years. Näder played a key role in shaping NADA Germany's work, particularly in building the brand and establishing a platform for partners. He is stepping down from the NADA Germany board due to overriding professional commitments at his company Otto Bock.
Thanks to his personal commitment, it was possible to secure NADA Germany's existence both financially and ideally in the first years of his work on the Supervisory Board. Näder played a decisive role in shaping NADA Germany's public image and canon of values. This enabled NADA Germany's main office to develop the organization step by step and establish it as a national and international brand for clean sport.
The entrepreneur played a decisive role in setting up the “GIVE EVERYTHING, TAKE NOTHING” initiative. This initiative remains NADA Germany's central leitmotif to this day, with which many competitive athletes from all sports identify. It has established itself as a platform for competent, fair and transparent anti-doping work.
“We would like to thank Prof. Näder for his many years of extraordinary commitment and his valuable input. His work has had a lasting impact on NADA Germany, and his ideas will continue to have a significant influence on the foundation in the future. We wish him all the best and much success for the future,” said Dr. Lars Mortsiefer, Chairman of the Executive Board of NADA Germany.
Prof. Hans Georg Näder will officially retire from office on March 31, 2025.
Until further notice, the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Prof. Dr. Christian Strasburger, will lead NADA Germany's Supervisory Board. At its next meeting, the Supervisory Board will discuss further personnel issues.
