NADA mourns the death of Joseph de Pencier, the founding Executive Director of the Institute of National Anti Doping Organisations (iNADO).
As a lawyer and passionate sportsman, he worked tirelessly for clean sport. He was instrumental in building up iNADO at its headquarters in Bonn from 2012 to 2017 and gave the National Anti-Doping Organisations worldwide a weighty voice in international sport. Previously, he had promoted anti-doping work at the Canadian Anti-Doping Organisation CCES and the International Paralympic Committee, among others.
He fought for equal opportunities and fair play, called attention to abuses and played a decisive role in the progress of anti-doping work.
We have lost a very important personality in anti-doping work and a loving person. With great respect and in deep grief with his family, the entire NADA team takes leave of Joseph de Pencier.
