In cooperation with the German Olympic Academy (DOA), the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) held a training course for teachers under the motto ‘Olympic - Fair - Clean’ as part of its education network and programme TOGETHER AGAINST DOPING.
Around 50 teachers from various types of schools took part in the digital event. The event offered the participants lots of practice-orientated content for school lessons. The training focussed on teaching values and doping education in schools as well as interdisciplinary discussions on integrating these topics into everyday school life. One highlight of the event was the talk and Q&A session with Olympic champion and student teacher Deborah Levi, who spoke about doping prevention and values in competitive sport.
Teachers are an important target group for doping education, as they teach pupils fundamental values and are important mentors for young athletes.
