Die Stiftung Nationale Anti Doping Agentur Deutschland (NADA) feierte am 16. Januar 2018 ihr 15-jähriges Jubiläum im Haus der Geschichte in Bonn.
Der Vormittag der Feier war vor allem Anlass, um auf den Beginn und die Entwicklung zurück zu blicken. Nach der Begrüßung durch die NADA-Vorstandsvorsitzende, Dr. Andrea Gotzmann, reflektierten Staatssekretär Hans-Georg Engelke (Bundesministerium des Innern), Staatssekretärin Andrea Milz (Sportministerkonferenz, Staatskanzlei Nordrhein-Westfalen), Bonns Oberbürgermeister Ashok Sridharan, Veronika Rücker (Vorstandsvorsitzende Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund) und Silke Kassner (stv. NADA-Aufsichtsratsvorsitzende, Athletenkommission im DOSB) die Anfänge der NADA und den Werdegang bis zum heutigen Tage.
Waren es zu Beginn fünf hauptamtliche Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter in der Bonner Heussallee, sind fünfzehn Jahre später 36 Personen bei der NADA angestellt. Dies zeigt, wie vielfältig und umfangreich sich die Aufgaben der Stiftung entwickelt haben. Die NADA hat teils sehr bewegte Jahre erlebt und große Existenzsorgen bewältigen müssen. Heute ist die NADA durch die nachhaltige Unterstützung des Parlaments und des Bundesministeriums des Innern gut aufgestellt. Auch der organisierte Sport und die Bundesländer tragen zum operativen Geschäft der NADA bei.
In der Diskussionsrunde am Vormittag mit Sergey Khrychikov (Sport Konvention, Europarat), Michael Cepic (NADA Austria) und Dr. Andrea Gotzmann wurde die Entwicklung der Anti-Doping-Arbeit im europäischen Kontext thematisiert.
Der Nachmittag diente der kritischen Reflexion der aktuellen Anti-Doping-Themen. Mit den Gästen Dr. Lucienne Attard (National Anti-Doping Organisation Malta), Dr. Patrick Goh (Antidoping Singapur), Dr. Matthias Kamber (Antidoping Schweiz), Travis Tygart (U.S. Anti-Doping Agentur) und Paul Melia (Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport) wurden Themen aus den Bereichen der Dopingkontrollen, Dopingprävention sowie medizinische und juristische Sachverhalte im internationalen Kontext diskutiert.

NADA CELEBRATES ITS 15th ANNIVERSARY
The Foundation National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA) celebrates its 15th anniversary at the Haus der Geschichte in Bonn on January 16, 2018.
The programm in the morning of the celebration focused on a look back of NADA's beginning and the development. After the welcome speech by NADA CEO Dr. Andrea Gotzmann, State Secretary Hans-Georg Engelke (Federal Ministry of the Interior), State Secretary Andrea Milz (Sports Minister Conference, State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia), Bonn's Lord Mayor Ashok Sridharan, Veronika Rücker (Chairman of the German Olympic Sports Confederation) and Silke Kassner (Deputy Chairperson of NADA's Supervisory Board, Athletes Commission in the DOSB) reflected the beginnings of NADA and the history to this day.
At the beginning, there were five full-time employees in Bonn's Heussallee. Fifteen years later, 36 people are employed at NADA. This shows how tasks of the foundation have evolved. NADA has experienced some very eventful years and had to cope with great existential concerns. Today, NADA is well positioned thanks to the sustained support of Parliament and the Federal Ministry of the Interior. The organised sport and the federal states also contribute to the operational business of NADA.
The discussion during the morning session with Sergey Khrychikov (Sports Convention, Council of Europe), Michael Cepic (NADA Austria) and Dr. Andrea Gotzmann focused on the development of anti-doping work in a European context.
The afternoon served as a critical reflection of current anti-doping issues. With guests such as Dr. Lucienne Attard (National Anti-Doping Organization Malta), Dr. Patrick Goh (Anti-Doping Singapore), Dr. Matthias Kamber (Anti-Doping Switzerland), Travis Tygart (U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) and Paul Melia (Canadian Center for Ethics in Sport) different topics such as doping controls, doping prevention and medical and legal issues were discussed in an international context.
