NADA-Vorstandsmitglied und Chefjustitiar Dr. Lars Mortsiefer ist bei der diesjährigen Mitgliederversammlung der INADO (Institute of National Anti-Doping Organisations) am Montag in Lausanne in den Aufsichtsrat gewählt worden. Dr. Andrea Gotzmann, Vorstandsvorsitzende der NADA, ist nach zwei Amtszeiten im Aufsichtsrat der INADO als stellvertretende Vorsitzende turnusgemäß ausgeschieden.
Die INADO, mit derzeit 77 Mitgliedern, handelt als Interessengemeinschaft der Nationalen und Regionalen Anti-Doping-Organisationen weltweit. Die INADO hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Arbeit der Anti-Doping-Organisationen weiter zu vernetzen, zu harmonisieren und allgemein gültige Standards zu erarbeiten. Des Weiteren soll die Stimme der Anti-Doping-Organisationen auch mehr politisches Gewicht gegenüber der Welt Anti-Doping Agentur (WADA), dem Internationalen Olympischen Komitee (IOC), der UNESCO und dem Europarat bekommen.
Weitere neu- bzw. wiedergewählte Aufsichtsrats-Mitglieder der im Frühjahr 2012 gegründeten Institution sind Herman Ram (Niederlande) und Nick Paterson (Neuseeland). Geschäftsführer der INADO mit Sitz in Bonn ist der Neuseeländer Graeme Steel.

Mortsiefer elected to INADO Board of Directors
Dr. Lars Mortsiefer, member of NADA's Executive Board and Head of its Legal Department, was elected to the Board of Directors of INADO (Institute of National Anti-Doping Organisations) at this year's Annual General Meeting in Lausanne on Monday. Dr. Andrea Gotzmann, Chairperson of NADA Germany, was due to retire from INADO's Board of Directors as Vice Chair after two terms of office.
INADO, with currently 77 members, acts as a community of interests for National and Regional Anti-Doping Organizations worldwide. INADO has set itself the goal of further network and harmonize the work of the Anti-Doping Organizations and develop generally applicable standards. Furthermore, the voice of the Anti-Doping Organizations should also be given more political weight towards the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), UNESCO and the Council of Europe.
Herman Ram (Netherlands) and Nick Paterson (New Zealand) are further new or re-elected members of the Board of Directors of the institution founded in spring 2012. The CEO of INADO, which is based in Bonn, is Graeme Steel from New Zealand.
